Overview

Chrysalis Hub offers Play Group, Nursery, Day Care, Emergency Day Care, after school and weekend workshops. The school’s teaching methodology is a combination of Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches.

According to a spokesperson the preschool offers a protective and secure environment to its students and prepares them for formal schooling by offering an enriching, stimulating and learning. Chrysalis Hub organizes workshops, holiday camps, parties and encourages children and parents to participate actively as a community. The goal of parent-child workshops is to provide a forum for parents and children to share their adventures, concerns and joys with each other.

Campus

Located at the school’s entrance, the Parent Foyer has an entry register and a digital photo-frame to view children and their activities at the centre. The classrooms are spacious, well ventilated and offer a comfortable learning environment. There is a designated place for music and dance where group activities and workshops take place.

The campus hosts an imaginative play centre where children can dress up and role play — this is used to nurture a child’s social skills and ability to play with others using imagination and creativity. The play area also consists of puzzles, manipulatives and blocks to encourage creativity, problem-solving and cognitive development.

The school also has an art centre, jungle gym, sand pit and water play, a mini library and a resting space for children.

Academics

Chrysalis Hub’s preschool services include – Play Group to UKG for children in the age group of two to five years. With a student teacher ratio of 8:1, each class has about 15 children.

The school offers a wide range of structured activities with a theme assigned each week for teaching-learning. Activities include early childhood literacy, phonics, music, imaginative play, games and puzzles, blocks and construction. The school’s curriculum also encourages children to enjoy messy play, art and painting, play dough and clay modeling, gardening and simple science experiments.
