Class 12 student goes missing on exam day in Navi Mumbai

On Thursday, it was reported that a 17-year-old boy from Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra has allegedly gone missing under concerning circumstances after leaving his residence to appear in the Class 12 board examination.

According to an official from Rabale police station, the boy left his home in the Ghansoli area at approximately 8.45 am on Wednesday, intending to reach a college in Vashi for the scheduled examination. However, as the day progressed, he did not return home, prompting growing concern. Faced with his prolonged absence, his parents initiated a search for him and, eventually, approached the police for assistance.

In response to a formal complaint lodged by the boy’s father, a case has been registered under sections 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code. The official assured that active efforts are currently underway to trace the whereabouts of the missing individual, involving collaboration with various resources to expedite the search and ensure a swift resolution to this distressing situation. The police remain dedicated to investigating the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and bringing the boy back to his concerned family.
