The Mumbai-based Core projects & Technologies Ltd — a pioneer distance education provider in India — has been awarded a contract to implement FAIM, its admissions and examinations management software system, by the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). FAIM is Core’s flagship product in the examinations management segment and is currently being successfully used in eight African and three Caribbean countries and more than 25 institutions in the UK. KSOU provides more than 100 study programmes to over 60,000 students in India in diverse disciplines — arts, science, commerce, business administration, and information technology — through 250 study centres across the country. Core Projects & Technologies Ltd. (estb.2003) is a US$ 100 million (Rs.493 crore) company and a global leader in education management systems with a proven track record of successful projects executed for state governments in the US and India. Over the past three years, the company has specialised in the provision of education management solutions.
