Corporates must contribute towards education of girl child: Dhankhar

February 7, 2024

On Wednesday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar emphasized that women play a crucial role as primary stakeholders in Indian democracy. He urged corporate entities to actively participate and contribute to the education of girls.

Speaking at the centenary celebrations of the Indraprastha College for Women in Delhi University’s north campus, Dhankhar noted, “Our businessmen often contribute significantly to foreign NGOs. It is essential for corporates to step forward and allocate their CSR funds for the advancement of girls’ education.”

Dhankhar underscored the transformative power of educating a girl, stating that it can lead to a revolutionary impact on an entire generation. As part of his address, he invited students from the college to visit the new Parliament building, portraying them as catalysts who will usher in a golden era during the next 25 years of the ‘Amrit Kaal.’
