Overview

Situated in East Delhi, DAV Public School, Dayanad Vihar was established in 1982. Ever since its inception, the school has worked towards providing holistic and quality education. The school is committed to academic excellence, multifarious activities, high standards of ethical awareness and community service.

Affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, under the 10 + 2 scheme of education, the school prepares students for the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).

Campus

DAV Public School, Dayanand Vihar hosts smart classrooms for classes XI and XII. Each classroom is equipped with a wall mounted LCD projector and a computer. A science education centre was launched at the school premises in 2003.

The school offers well equipped mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer, English, textile and home science labs and two well stocked libraries catering to the requirements of the students in primary as well as in senior wing.

The school also hosts an audio visual room, medical fitness facilities, cafeteria and transport facilities.

Achievement

Shaheed Rajpal D.A.V. Public School, Dayanand Vihar organized a two day workshop for teachers of English as a part of DAV In-Service Training Program. 90 teachers from the DAV academic fraternity participated in the seminars held on June 28 and June 29, 2012.

Nursery wing of S.R.D.A.V. Public School, Dayanand Vihar organized a three day workshop for nursery teachers, which was attended by teachers of many other D.A.V Schools. The main objective of the workshop was to apprise the teachers on “Early Childhood Education”.

To inculcate a sense of duty and responsibility towards the society, students are encouraged to participate in social service for the needy and deprived .The school has been a catalyst of social change and an effective instrument for human resource development.
