A private school in east Delhi witnessed protests after a distressing incident where a 14-year-old boy was reportedly assaulted by his classmate. According to police reports on Saturday, the victim, a class 8 student, was involved in a scuffle with his classmate over a classroom issue. During the altercation, the classmate, wearing a mask, allegedly beat the victim and inserted a wooden stick into his private parts, threatening him not to disclose the incident. The victim’s family suspects the involvement of more students in the assault.
Authorities have taken the juvenile offender into custody and presented them before the Juvenile Justice Board. Medical examinations confirmed injuries resulting from a foreign object inserted into the victim’s body.
Following the incident, the victim’s parents and relatives staged protests outside the school, demanding justice. The victim received counseling, and legal proceedings have been initiated.
The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Investigations are ongoing to uncover further details about the incident.
