Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR), is a pharmaceutical institution located in New Delhi. It was the first Pharmacy University of India to be established, and the university is recognised by UGC and is affiliated to with the Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University (DPSRU).
DIPSAR was founded in 1964 as the Department of Pharmacy of Delhi Polytechnic (later renamed Delhi College of Engineering, now Delhi Technological University) and was located in Kashmiri gate, Delhi. In 1972, it was converted into the College of Pharmacy and moved to the campus of the Pusa Institute. It moved to its present campus in Pushp Vihar in 1979. In 2004 it was named as Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research, affiliated to University of Delhi. Following the establishment of Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University (DPSRU) it was made a constituent college of DPSRU, which operates from the same building.
Various pharmaceutical courses of DIPSAR are approved by statutory bodies like Pharmacy Council of India (PCI); All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Delhi Council for Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy (DCPOT).
Spread over a lush green 10.5 acre campus, DIPSAR provides a range of academic facilities including classrooms and laboratories. The campus houses a well-stocked air conditioned library housing over 17,000 books and an expansive auditorium with a seating capacity of 450 for conducting various events. Residential facilities are provided- hostel facilities and cafeterias are provided to students.
The campus also houses sports facilities comprising a swimming pool, gymnasium and facilities for several indoor and outdoor sports.

Placements:
The placement cell of DIPSAR/DPSRU is committed towards getting the best possible opportunities for its students by providing them with a thriving platform and the best exposure. The aim of the placement cell is to provide employment opportunities, including self- employment and admission for higher studies in reputed institutes, for the students, commensurate
with their specialization and calibre and to place maximum students in reputed companies. To
achieve this aim, the university conducts skill enhancement programmes and continuously
interact with the industries to update the current requirements of industry for the students.
Recent placement highlights- 2018-20 batch: The highest CTC for this batch was recorded at INR 4.2 LPA, while the median CTC stood at INR 2.7 LPA.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked DIPSAR 25th in the pharmacy rankings of 2020.
DIPSAR provides residential facilities to its students. There are separate hostels for men and women.
