Delhi Public School, East Ahmedabad is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. Founded in 2008, the school is a member of the Delhi Public School Society and managed by Calorx Education and Research Foundation, a not for profit and professionally managed autonomous institution.
The school motto is “to create a child-centric, holistic and innovative learning environment”.
The school campus spreads across 25 acres hosting a library stocked with nearly 4000 books, a science lab, math lab, computer lab, art and craft cum activity room, dance room, music room, a book shop and technology enabled classrooms equipped with smart boards. The school also houses a medical infirmary and counseling center with regular visiting psychiatrist.
The sports infrastructure includes skating rink, basketball court, volleyball court, cricket pitch, tennis court, kho-kho ground, golf ground, athletics ground, football ground, hockey ground, indoor play kit and splash pool.
The school follows the CBSE curriculum. At the preprimary level, reading is taught through Jolly Phonics, a British program based on teaching English through synthetic phonic approach. It teaches letter sounds in multi sensory way. Jolly phonics targets all kinds of learners in the class i.e. the visual, auditory and kinesthetic learners.
For classes I-II an integrated system of teaching-learning is followed wherein one theme is picked up for all subjects and ensured that there is a complete learning in that topic.
The school uses digital resources in a variety of ways to support teaching and learning. Electronic grade books, digital portfolios, learning games and real-time feedback on teacher and student performance, videodiscs and the audio visual plans strengthen basic skills by bringing material to life in the classroom. To enable students to grasp mathematical concepts and effectively apply them, the school has launched DPS East Mathematics Annual Rolling T, an inter school competition for classes I-XII.

Age eligibility for admission to nursery is 3 years plus. Admissions to pre-primary and class I is driven by a weightage system, where 10 criteria are taken under consideration before providing admission to the child. The list of these 10 criteria can be obtained from the school.
Admissions to primary and secondary school are based on past school records, admission assessment and followed by an interaction with the principal.

Library on Wheels is an initiative by the school to revive reading habits in the community. This mobile library goes to different areas as per a schedule.
Being a day school, DPS East Ahmedabad does not offer accommodation facility.
