Delhi Public School, Patna was established in 1998 as a joint venture of the Delhi Public Schools Society (estb. 1949) and Takshila Educational Society. The Delhi Public Schools Society has a network of140 Delhi Public Schools countrywide. The Takshila Educational Society was promoted in 1997 with the aim of establishing world-class schools. DPS Patna is its first venture.
DPS Patna is affiliated with the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and offers classes from nursery to class XII. Over the span of 14 years, DPS Patna has earned a commendable reputation and is widely recognized among the top schools in BIhar.
DPS Patna has two campuses in the city — the Junior Wing (nursery to class VI) and the Senior Wing (classes VI to XII). The Junior Wing is located on Bailey Road and the Senior Wing in Chandmari village, close to the army cantonment in Danapur.
The campus at Chandmari boasts well-maintained gardens, lawns, well-ventilated classrooms, a canteen, an outdoor theatre and wide courtyards for games. Facilities like computer labs, a well-stocked resource centre and a gymnasium are available. The campus hosts an in-built sports complex, a swimming pool and a separate block for the performing arts.
A highlight of the campus is the water harvesting and waste recycling plant that produces paper from waste. DPS Patna runs a fleet of 52 buses and offers supervised transport facility to students.
The school campus also hosts the ‘Shiksha Kendra’ – a philanthropic initiative of the Takshila Educational Society under which schooling is delivered to the underprivileged children free of charge. The society also organises ‘Ninad’, a cultural programme to showcase folk art and music by local artists.
DPS Patna is affiliated with the New Delhi-based Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and follows the curriculum prescribed by NCERT .The objective of the school is to foster holistic development of students by imparting education through practical exercises and activities, making learning enjoyable and realistic.
DPS employs 160 teachers and support staff. The school organizes several workshops and training seminars for teachers to improve their skills and aptitude.

Fees:
Rs.2,650 is paid bi-monthly as tuition fees and annual charges and development fees of Rs.30,000 each are charged on admission.
