Delhi Public School (DPS) Raipur is an English medium coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school is a part of the Delhi Public School Society, one of the largest networks of schools in the country. Founded in 2006, DPS Raipur is promoted by the Shikshantar Welfare Society. The school boasts 2592 students with a teacher student ratio of 1:25.
The mission of DPS Raipur is to instill in the students the DPS motto of ‘Service before Self’. The school strives to foster the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, spiritual and aesthetic development of the students. Students are prepared for active, independent learning in an environment which fosters a spirit of enquiry and keen competition.
Spread over 11.5 acres, the school campus houses four blocks of classrooms equipped with 24 hour CCTV surveillance, two resource rooms, display and writing boards and lockers for students. Other facilities include an art and craft room, science labs, mathematics lab, computer labs, humanities lab, an activity area, multimedia room, a dance room, a vocal music room and an instrumental music room. There is also an infirmary and a counsellor’s room.
Sports facilities include a playing field, sports complex, swimming pool, splash pool, nine shower rooms, store room, table tennis hall, gymnasium hall, aerobics hall and a squash court.
Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, Delhi Public School, Raipur offers schooling from pre nursery through class XII. With English as the medium of instruction and Hindi and Sanskrit as compulsory languages, students can also learn a foreign language – German/French.
Students are encouraged to engage in hands-on projects, sports, cultural activities, literary activities, excursions, computers and community service. The teaching methodology supports the natural development of the child, with each teacher serving less as an instructor and more as a guide or facilitator.
The school also conducts remedial classes for slow learners.
At the secondary level, the school conducts two formal examinations, one in each term.
Extracurriculars
Students are encouraged to participate in debating, story-telling, quiz, calligraphy, yoga, rural development and education of the underprivileged. Creative and performing arts include vocal and instrumental music, mime, dance, drama, woodwork, painting, craft, photography, sculpture, clay modeling and cookery.
Coaching is provided in sports such as cricket, football, tennis, basketball, skating, shooting, swimming, table tennis, aerobics and squash. Students also learn judo and karate.

DPS Raipur is well regarded for churning out responsible citizens and high achievers.
The school hosts a hostel for boys which can accommodate 250 boys. Each of the dorms can accommodate 4, 6 and 10 students per unit.
The hostel houses a dining area, study rooms, lounge, recreational facility, library, multimedia and indoor and outdoor games facilities.
The hostel admits only students of class V and above.
