Overview

The DLF Public School (DLFPS), Ghaziabad was established in 1996 by the Darbari Lal Foundation trust in the memory of renowned educationist Darbari Lal Ji. It is a co-educational English medium school offering education from pre-nursery to class XII. The school boasts an enrollment of close to 2400 students and maintains a teacher student ratio of 1:19.

DLFPS is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi and aims “To embark each learner on a journey of Self Discovery and Self Learning thereby creating committed, socially responsible global citizens who are nurtured in a safe, child-centered empowering environment rooted in Indian culture.”

Campus

The school is sited on a 5 acre campus with world class infrastructure hosting well ventilated and spacious classrooms, state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, resource centre, well stocked library, conference room, robotics club and an auditorium with a seating capacity of 1000. Sports facilities include cricket, soccer, hockey and football fields, tennis, basket ball and volley ball courts and a skating rink.

Academics

The DLF Public School offers education from pre-nursery to class XII and follows the curriculum prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. DLFPS has completely incorporated the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).

The school is known for venturing into various innovative educational programmes that supplement classroom teaching, such as Mindspark, a computerized self learning maths programme that enables children to learn at their own pace and comfort and Detailed Assessment Programme which enables parents and teachers to know how well a student has conceptually understood a subject.

Extracurricular: The school promotes a plethora of sports activities such as basket ball, volley ball, swimming, lawn tennis, skating and yoga and offers various adventure sports like trekking, rock climbing and mountaineering. Admission

Admission is open from lower kindergarten through class XII. Admission to pre-nursery is based on interaction with the student and parents. Students are required to write an admission test and appear for an interview from class I onwards. Selected candidates need to submit a duly filled admission form along with the birth certificate, and admission fee.
