Don Bosco School, Khonsa is a coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. The school was founded on June 15, 1998 by Father Varghese Palathingal, the provincial of Dimapur. The school received its affiliation from CISCE in 2001. Don Bosco School, Khonsa boasts around 171 students and 11 teachers of which 112 students and 8 teachers are Catholics; besides Catholics, the school has students belonging to various tribes such as Nocte, Wancho, Lazu, Mishmi and Singhon.
The school’s mission is to accompany and empower young people towards “fullness of life”, to promote human and social development of the less privileged and to work, in partnership with young people, towards justice and peace.
The school hosts spacious classrooms, a well stocked library, science labs and a playground.
The school follows CISCE curriculum and offers opportunities to students to harness their creative potential by offering them co curricular activities such as art, drama, music, theatre and creative writing among others. The school also promotes sports and games such as cricket, football, hockey, basketball and athletics.

Apart from offering education, the school also engages in pastoral work and evangelisation, village masses, village visits, animation of catechists, youth ministry, chaplaincy, etc.
The school offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls. The Salesians run the boarding facility for boys and the FMA sisters run the boarding for girls.
