DRS International School (DRSIS), Hyderabad is a co-educational, day cum residential school. It follows the syllabus prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, integrated with the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) from kindergarten to grade V. The uniqueness of the school largely lies in this blended approach of offering Indian content using international methodologies. The school adheres to the international standard of a 12:1 student teacher ratio to optimize learning.
Founded by Dayanand Agarwal, chairman and managing director, DRS Group of Companies, the mission of DRS International School is “To provide the finest quality education that will evolve in step with the changes that takes place globally in the fields of education, science, commerce and arts and to set new qualitative standards in education by employing innovative approaches.”
The 5 acre school campus hosts temperature-controlled classrooms, well-equipped labs, a well stocked library, a toy room, an amphitheater, and e-classrooms created and designed for students and facilitators to attain technological skills.
Medical facilities include a well equipped infirmary that provides first aid to students under the supervision of a full time nurse. Basic physical development of students is tracked and reported every term by the school nurse in collaboration with a qualified doctor. The infirmary offers beds and washing/shower facilities.
A full-sized swimming pool, a skating rink, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, a gymnasium, an indoor games room, a photography and pottery studio, and a carpentry and metal workshop form part of the school's facility offerings. Children have access to facilities for cricket, archery, fencing, roller hockey, roller-skating, yoga, and karate. State level coaches guide the students to ensure they gain optimal benefit from their exposure to these activities.
The school follows the CBSE syllabus integrated with the IB Primary Years Program from kindergarten to grade V and adheres to the international standard of a 12:1 student teacher ratio to optimize learning. . Students are encouraged to regularly assess their own work and reflect on their learning process. Teachers support the students in assessing their work by providing assessment criteria. Students go-through the pre-assessment, formative assessment and summative assessment in PYP.
For its e-classrooms, DRSIS has partnered with Edurite for providing resources specially designed to enhance the research skills of the students.
Extracurricular:
Believing extracurricular activities to be an intrinsic component of holistic education, DRSIS promotes a plethora of activities such as photography, pottery, carpentry, and sports activities including skating, swimming, squash, basket ball, cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, chess, carom and archery. Regular field trips are organized for the primary grades as part of the PYP program. The school also encourages students to engage themselves in community service.

LabsApplication form and brochure can be obtained from the school office on payment of Rs.1000/- in cash or demand draft drawn in favour of DRS International School, payable at Hyderabad. The application form can also be downloaded from the website.
A completed application form must be submitted in the school office on or before the stipulated date. The following documents should accompany the form:
Certified copy of school report of the previous academic year (if applicable).
One certified copy of child's birth certificate.
One certified copy each of details including dates and grades of any Public/Board Examinations already taken (if applicable).
Copy of the transfer certificate (if possible).
Eligibility
Children must meet the stipulated age requirement for admission to DRS International School as on June 1 of the year of admission. The age limit for each grade is mentioned on the school website. The stipulated age limit may be relaxed at the discretion of the School Admission Committee based on past academic achievements and performance in the admission assessment tests, provided the student has graduated from a recognized school.
