DSEU launches short-term Advance Certificate Courses for Electronics Sector

Delhi Skills and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU), in collaboration with Elios Healthcare announced the launch of two short-term Certificate Courses for the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector from this academic session. The courses were officially launched by Dr. Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice-Chancellor, DSEU along with Prof. M A Khan, Campus Director, DSEU Okhla-II Campus, Sabbar Tousif, MD, Elios Healthcare, Rai Umraopati Ray, Course Head, ESDM and Amit Sinha, Consultant, Centre of Excellence (CoE), Agri.

These industry-aligned courses grant NSQF 5 & 6 levels, includes 75 hours of theory classes at the DSEU campus, and a paid on-the-job training of 225 hours, culminating in assured job placements for the students. These courses are going to start at DSEU Okhla II Campus, under Centre of Excellence Agriculture (CoE Agri). 

“We are delighted to unveil the Certificate Courses in ESDM, which will play a pivotal role in fulfilling the demand for skilled manpower in the electronic manufacturing industries. The course not only addresses the growing demand for skilled professionals in the industry but also aligns perfectly with the Government of India’s Make in India program. By fostering innovation, imparting industry-relevant knowledge and promoting entrepreneurship, we are contributing to the nation’s vision of self-reliance and a thriving electronic manufacturing ecosystem. Together, we are shaping a brighter future for our students and reinforcing India’s position on the global technological landscape. Through these courses, we aim to empower the youth with the necessary skills to excel in this rapidly evolving sector,” said Dr. Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice-Chancellor of DSEU. 

About 100 students have already enrolled for these courses and over 50+ companies from across the country have shown interest to offer on-job-training (paid) and job offers to the students of these courses. 

Prof. M A Khan, Campus Director – DSEU Okhla-II Campus, emphasised, “I firmly believe that strong industry linkages are the cornerstone of our ESDM Courses, specially designed by FITT, IIT Delhi. Our collaboration with the industry ensures that our students receive practical and up-to-date knowledge, making them job-ready in the ever-evolving ESDM sector. This aligns perfectly with the Government of India’s Make in India program, as we strive to foster a skilled workforce capable of contributing to the country’s self-reliance goals. By nurturing talent and promoting innovation, we are sowing the seeds for a technologically advanced and self-sustaining India.”

Sabbar Tousif, Managing Director of Elios Healthcare, expressed his enthusiasm by stating, “Our partnership with DSEU holds immense significance in shaping a skilled workforce for the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. The course designed by FITT, IIT Delhi ensures industry-relevant training, making our students industry-ready. This aligns perfectly with the Government of India’s Make in India program, as we collectively work towards strengthening India’s position as a hub for the Electronics and Semiconductor sector. fostering innovation, we are playing a crucial role in driving India’s journey towards self-reliance and becoming a global leader in electronics manufacturing.”

The Certificate Courses in ESDM offer intensive training in areas such as ESDM, Semiconductor, IC design, PCB design and fabrication, Embedded systems, and more. The program also includes on-the-job training, providing students with real-world experience and enhancing their employability.
