KL-Wayne State agreement
Guntur, March 20. The Guntur (Andhra Pradesh)-based KL Deemed University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wayne State University, Detroit (USA), covering academic collaboration, joint research and faculty exchange programs.
“The collaboration is designed to enhance the academic experience of students at both universities and foster a strong relationship between the institutions. By engaging in joint research projects and academic exchanges, students will gain valuable skills and knowledge in their respective fields, equipping them for global career opportunities. Additionally, KL students will have the opportunity to continue their studies at Wayne State University,” said Dr. M. Kishore Babu, Dean of International Relations at KL University, speaking on the occasion.
SNU-ISRO MoU
Greater Noida, March 21. The Delhi-NCR-based Shiv Nadar University (SNU) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to accelerate research in space technology and artificial intelligence (AI).
According to an SNU spokesperson, this collaboration will advance research in remote sensing applications for environment and urban planning, disaster management using satellite imaging and predictive analytics, AI-driven precision agriculture for crop monitoring and yield optimisation, climate resilience studies leveraging earth observation data, and autonomous UAV-based environmental assessments.
“This MoU marks a significant milestone in SNU’s journey of expanding its research footprint in space sciences and allied fields. Collaborating with ISRO opens up unprecedented opportunities for our faculty and students to work on pioneering projects with national and global relevance,” said Dr. (Prof.) Ananya Mukherjee, Vice Chancellor of SNU, speaking on the occasion.
Mt. Carmel AI lab
Chennai, March 19. Bangalore-based Movate Technologies Pvt. Ltd, a provider of technology and digital transformation services, has partnered with the Ma Foi Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to skill development and employability, to establish a state-of-the-art Generative AI Lab at Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. This initiative, introduced as part of
Movate’s CSR commitment, aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world AI applications. The Generative AI Lab is designed to empower students with cutting-edge AI capabilities in key domains such as Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Generative Adversarial Networks and AI Ethics.

Tripartite collaboration
Faridabad, March 21. Manav Rachna University (MRU) signed strategic collaboration agreements with Google Cloud and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to enhance learning opportunities, integrate industry-driven curricula, and equip students with future-ready skills. These collaborations will ensure that MRU students receive specialised training aligned with industry needs, strengthening their career prospects in technology and engineering fields.

The MoU with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) marks a significant step toward enhancing industry-aligned education, particularly in engineering and technology.
CUPA-VTU accord
Delhi, March 7. Cambridge University Press & Assessment (CUPA) signed a partnership accord with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Bengaluru to provide students and researchers with a wider range of digital materials and scholarly content to foster innovation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This collaboration will provide over 3.5 lakh students in 211 VTU-affiliated institutions with access to a collection of 58 essential eBooks.
“By providing access to such resources, we are also supporting the academic community who will have access to these books. Such collaborations align with our mission of ensuring that quality resources are made available to all learners regardless of background and location,” said Arun Rajamani, Managing Director, Cambridge University Press & Assessment, South Asia, speaking on the occasion.
