Emerald Heights triumphs in squash at National Championships & Khelo India Youth Games

Emerald Heights International School students showcased exceptional talent at the 67th SGFI National School Squash Championship 2023-24, held in Pune from January 9th to 13th, 2024. Notably, Tavneet Singh Mudra, a standout performer, secured the Gold Medal in the Boys U-19 Individual Event, while the Boys U-14 Team, led by Aarav Lohiya, achieved commendable results with a Bronze Medal.

In the Girls U-17 Team Event, participants Katyayani Shaktawat and Hiya Bhandari contributed to the school’s success, clinching a well-deserved Bronze Medal. These achievements highlight the dedication and talent of Emerald Heights International School students and the guidance provided by coaches Mr. Haleem Khan, Mr. Akhilesh Sahani, and Ms. Khalida Qureshi.

Adding to the triumphs, national squash player Tavneet Singh Mundra from Class-XII brought honor to Madhya Pradesh by winning a Gold medal in Squash (Boys U-19) at the Khelo India Youth Games 2024 (KIYG2024) in Chennai from January 20 to 24, 2024. This significant victory contributes to the school’s legacy of excellence in sports.

The 37th National Games of India in Goa from October 25 to November 9, 2023, witnessed the Madhya Pradesh Squash Team, captained by Tavneet Singh Mundra, securing a Bronze Medal. With over 10,000 players from 28 states and 8 Union Territories participating in 43 sporting events, Tavneet’s leadership and the team’s performance underscore Emerald Heights International School’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals.

These accomplishments align with the school’s ethos of fostering excellence in academics and extracurricular pursuits. Congratulations to all the medal winners and gratitude to the dedicated coaches who inspire and mentor these budding athletes. Additionally, the school proudly announces that its athletes excelled at the Khelo India Youth Games 2024 in Tamil Nadu. Tavneet Singh Mundra secured a Gold Medal in Squash (Boys U-19), Chazerina Benjamin (alumna from the batch of 2023) participated in Squash (Girls U-19), Shailee Gupta participated in Judo (70kg weight category), and Parth Agrawal participated in Shooting, clinching a Gold medal in the Sub-Youth category at the 66th National Shooting Championship Competitions (Pistol) 2023 in Bhopal. These achievements demonstrate the school’s commitment to excellence in sports.
