FIITJEE Delhi students emerge state toppers in KVPY 2015

Kushagra Juneja, a student of four year classroom programme of FIITJEE Punjabi Bagh Centre, has been declared as a Delhi state topper in the SA stream, securing All India Rank of 3. Udit Jain, also a student of the four year classroom programme of FIITJEE East Delhi centre has been declared as state topper in the SX stream, in the recently announced KVPY 2015 stage II results.

AIR 1 (National Topper) in KVYP stage II results (in SA Stream) has been bagged by FIITJEE student Irin Ghosh, followed by Debaditya Pramanick, also from FIITJEE with AIR-2 (SA Stream).

Overall, 201 students from FIITJEE Delhi-NCR centres long duration classroom programme have qualified in Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) 2015. Belonging to both SA & SX segments, these students have demonstrated exemplary scholastic brilliance through their hard efforts and dedication.

The “Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana” is an ongoing programme initiated by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to encourage students of Basic Sciences, Engineering and Medicine to take up research careers in these areas. The aim of KVPY programme is to identify and encourage talented students with aptitude for research. This programme strives to assist the students to realise their potential and to ensure that the best scientific talent is tapped for research and development in the country.

Thousands of class XI and XII students from across India had appeared in the exam. All students who have qualified in KVPY Stage II will be awarded Fellowship that act as an encouragement and motivation for them to pursue a subject of their liking.

Generous scholarships are provided (up to the pre-Ph.D. level) to the selected students.

Commenting on the outstanding achievement, R L Trikha, director, FIITJEE, said, “It is a proud moment for us. The qualified students have taken the glorious tradition of FIITJEE to the bigger platform. Proper training plays a vital role in cracking these competitive titles. However, dedication is the key word of success and at FIITJEE we prepare our student to be focused and well organised towards their studies to make a niche in this era of cut throat competition.”

The KVPY written examination was conducted on November 2015 followed by interview in the month of February and the results were declared in the last week of March.
