Four schools from India have been named among the top 10 finalists for the World’s Best School Prizes 2025, the global awards presented annually in the UK to recognise schools making exceptional contributions to their students and communities.
The World’s Best School Prizes are awarded by T4 Education, a UK-based global education organisation founded by Vikas Pota. These prizes were instituted in 2022, in response to the educational challenges highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It celebrates outstanding schools around the world that are making a significant impact and works with over 200,000 teachers across more than 100 countries to improve education globally.
Awards are given in the categories of Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity and Supporting Healthy Lives.
Indian Finalists
Government Girls Senior Secondary School, NIT 5, Faridabad (Haryana)
Category: Supporting Healthy Lives
This school integrates health, nutrition, and mental well-being into academics to ensure that every girl receives the support she needs to thrive.
ZP School, Jalindar Nagar, near Pune (Maharashtra)
Category: Community Collaboration
The school has implemented a peer-teaching model where older and younger students learn from each other, creating a fun and effective learning environment.
Ekya School, JP Nagar, Bengaluru (Karnataka)
Category: Innovation
Students here are encouraged to solve real-world problems through design thinking, fostering creativity and critical thinking skills.
Delhi Public School, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh)
Category: Environmental Action
This school incorporates environmental stewardship and social responsibility into daily learning, nurturing compassionate and responsible citizens.
Community choice award
In addition to their category awards, all 50 global finalists are also in the running for the Community Choice Award, which will be determined by public vote. The winners will be announced in October, and the finalists will be invited to share their experiences at the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi on November 15–16.
