As schools are all set to break for summer and students have atleast a one-month summer holiday awaiting them, here are some fun-filled activities children can engage in during this time.

Intuition, Yoga

Art of Living, Kanakpura Road is organizing an action-packed, thrilling, whimsical and exhilarating residential and non-residential Summer Special camp for kids and teens that develops their strength, stamina, perseverance and overall personality. Vishwa Vidyapeeth Group of the School’s 15-day residential summer camp has activities planned for students from 5am to 9pm. Children are encouraged to engage in physical exercises, a nutritionally balanced diet, and are taught other life skills like praying, cooking, farming, first aid appropriate to their age. The planned activities include Yoga, Dance, First Aid training, Pottery, Bhagavad Gita Recitations, Organic farming training, Art & Crafts, Cooking Classes, and finally, Sports which will be age appropriate. Kanchana Dance and Fitness centre is offering a summer camp that helps children learn dance, gymnastics, Bharatanatyam, public speaking, martial arts, yoga, Zumba among other indoor and outdoor activities. The first batch of these classes starts from April 1.

Sports

Sporthood is organizing a summer camp for activities such as swimming, badminton, football. The Sporthood Summer Camp features multiple sports, top coaches, sports fitness evaluations happening across 10 cities including Bengaluru. Camps begin on March 31.

Hiking, bouldering 

Inme’s Camp Skandagiri is a six-day camp for children at the Skandagiri Hills. This camp aims to introduce students to trekking, basic survival skills, bouldering, hiking, and low rope courses. Certified outdoor experts to accompany the tour which starts in Bengaluru. For the comfort and special needs of girls, there is a female instructor assigned to each activity group. A doctor is also present on camp at all times to attend to medical needs. Camp starts on March 22.
