G.D. Goenka Public School is a coeducational day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. The school was founded by Anjani Kumar Goenka in October 1994, to commemorate the memory of his mother late Gayatri Devi Goenka. The school offers schooling from nursery to class XII and has faculty strength of 150 and student strength of 2520. The teacher student ratio is 1:15.
The school campus sprawls over 3.82 acres, housing a uniquely designed V-shaped building comprising of 60 air conditioned classrooms and 30 other rooms including a large reception hall, science labs, computer labs, art studio, library, auditorium with the latest in stage lights and other equipment. The building also hosts staff-rooms for teachers on each floor, a cafeteria, a fitness centre with Hi-Fi gym equipment, air-conditioned medical infirmary with six beds staffed with a full time doctor and nurse, and ambulance service.
The school offers facilities for outdoor games like cricket, volleyball, soccer, etc. and a swimming pool with changing rooms and showers for boys and girls separately; there is also a multipurpose court which has recently been constructed with a basketball, tennis court and stage. The school has adequate number of generators to provide 100 percent back-up for electricity and water.
The school has the largest fleet of luxurious air-conditioned buses with communication facility, among private schools in India.
The school follows the CBSE curriculum and computers are introduced right from nursery.
At the pre-primary and primary levels, the curriculum ensures the growth and development of aptitude of each child by giving him/her hands-on approach to the real world. The middle and senior school enables the students to become independent in their choices and confident in their self study, preparation for board exams is enhanced by consultation with subject experts and relevant research and project work.

For Nursery (Pre-School) admissions, advertisements are usually issued in leading newspapers around the first week of December or as per the calendar prescribed by the Directorate of Education. Names of shortlisted applicants are displayed in the school within the prescribed dates and admissions close by March. 10 percent seats are reserved for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Society.
Admission to other classes is subject to vacancy and close by end of July.

Students of GD Goenka Public School, Vasant Kunj have obtained distinctions in academics and class XII students have topped the Commerce CBSE Class XII Exams and secured merit certificates from CBSE for being among the top 0.1 percent in the respective subjects at All India level.
The students have also won gold medals and trophies in sports and other co-curricular activities such as swimming, martial arts, shooting, basketball, cricket, music, drama, debates, and painting.
