Getmyuni and Twigz Network host webinar for engineering aspirants

May 8, 2020

Leading ed-tech companies – GetMyUni and Twigz Network and their education platforms Getmyuni.com, Sarvgyan.com and Aglasem.com, in collaboration with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham hosted India’s largest online event for engineering aspirants “Exploring Engineering Careers after the Pandemic” on May 1, 2020. These portals already, collectively, serve over 400 million students annually in their academic and career choices.

The online event saw over 10K registrations and 3500 attendees for the hour and half long session being conducted by the Director of Engineering admissions at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Br. Maheshwara Chaitanya, who counselled students around a career in engineering and how they can go about making the right choice.

Upneet Grover, founder of Getmyuni, mentioned that they had been experiencing a huge surge in student queries around what should be done next, in the time of Covid. Hence, along with Shubham Watta, founder of Twigz Network, another leading ad network of educational portals, was born the idea of pulling off something never done before – counselling thousands of students using a single platform, at the same time.  Within a couple of weeks they launched the Nurture, their joint platform for online student counselling at scale.

The online event had a host of questions which were answered in detail, such as how can students go about selecting the right engineering branch, the scope of both conventional and unconventional streams in engineering from an employment perspective, productive ways of spending time during the quarantine for engineering aspirants, how to choose the right college, etc.
