Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, founded in 1845, are among the oldest medical institutions in western India, managed by the Government of Maharashtra. The institute has four hospitals attached to it - Sir J. J. Hospital, St. George’s Hospital, Gokuldas Tejpal (GT) Hospital and Cama Albless Hospital with a combined bed strength of 2844. They cater to an annual load of 12,00,000 outpatients and 80,000 in-patients, from all parts of Maharashtra and central India. The Grant Medical College is affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik and is recognized by the Medical Council of India, New Delhi.
