Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated on Thursday that the Punjab government is prioritizing the health and education sectors, with significant upgrades being made to schools and hospitals across the state.
Speaking at a state-level event commemorating the martyrdom of Karnail Singh Issru, Mann highlighted that schools are now equipped with the latest technology and hospital infrastructure has been enhanced to provide top-notch treatment facilities. He credited initiatives like ‘Aam Aadmi Clinics’ and ‘Schools of Eminence’ with transforming the lives of people in Punjab, according to an official release.
Mann also noted that, unlike previous administrations that tolerated issues like corruption and drug abuse, his government has implemented a zero-tolerance policy. Efforts to eradicate corruption have already begun, leading to significant progress in cleansing the state.
Reflecting on the contributions of freedom fighters, Mann expressed pride in the pivotal role Punjabis played in the national independence movement. He honored Karnail Singh Issru as a hero of the Goa Liberation Movement, acknowledging his sacrifice and the lasting debt owed to him by the people.
