To mark this extraordinary journey, The Hyderabad Public School organized a three-day Educators’ Conference, a spectacular event that ignited the flames of inspiration, kindled the sparks of innovation, and set the stage for shaping the next century of educational excellence.

Picture over 500 educators from all four HPS institutions converging under one roof, a diverse collective driven by the shared passion for nurturing the minds of tomorrow. As we embarked on this riveting journey through the conference’s vibrant days, we witnessed keynote addresses by luminaries, impassioned discussions, transformative workshops, artistic expressions, and the fabric of ideas weaving together to illuminate the path forward. Welcome to a quick overview of The Hyderabad Public School Centenary Educators’ Conference – a celebration of a rich legacy and a bold vision for the future!

013Day 1
The first day kicked off with a student invocation dance, followed by welcome addresses by Mr. Gusti J Noria, President of H.P.S. Society, and Dr. Skand Bali, the Principal. The Vice Chairman of the HPS Board of Governors set the context of the Conference. They stressed the importance of the Educator’s Conference in the rapidly evolving education landscape. The Guest of Honour, Smt. V. Karuna, I.A.S., and Chief Guest, Mr. Syed Akbaruddin, also addressed the audience. Dr. Anantha Durraiappah, Director of UNESCO – MGIEP, discussed the role of educators in preserving ethical values in a future dominated by AI.

Panel discussions covered global leadership skills and the impact of emerging technologies like VR, AR, and AI in education. Workshops focused on using storytelling as a teaching tool, promoting diversity and inclusion, maintaining work-life balance for educators, understanding legal responsibilities, and optimizing school management practices for efficiency.

7Day 2
A Journey of Transformation
The first panel featured student representatives discussing the future of schools in the evolving educational landscape. This was followed by panel discussions that explored integrating Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) into school culture for improved academic performance and well-being as well as challenges and strategies for enhancing teacher education and conditions.

Discussions also revolved around the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and its impact on diverse curricula. The final panel delved into implementing NCF recommendations for School Education 2023, emphasizing the potential of the National Education Policy (NEP) for positive change.

Workshops covered topics like engaging students through dramatic techniques, managing teaching responsibilities while maintaining personal well-being, adopting a growth mindset for better teaching practices, and efficiently managing educational facilities and campuses.

026Day 3
The third day of the Educators Conference 2023 featured inspiring events. It started with a powerful student street performance called ‘Preserve Water,’ emphasizing water conservation. Renowned sand artist Mr. Kanth paid tribute to teachers with his captivating sand art. A panel discussed “Redefining Inclusiveness” in education, focusing on accessible learning. Another panel stressed integrating sports into education for holistic development.

Workshops covered implementing the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), using art for experiential learning, promoting STEM education, education policy making, and efficient school finance management.

14The Educators Conference concluded with teachers showcasing their innovative teaching approaches and projects, promoting knowledge exchange. Mrs. Amrita Chandra Raju, Vice Principal of HPS-Begumpet expressed the wealth of gratitude owed by the institution to all the participants, speakers, knowledge partners and event organizers. Mr Jalagam Venkat, Secretary and Treasurer of the HPS Society encapsulated the essence of education and announced the conference’s annual recurrence with a dedicated budget for educator development. The next HPS Educator’s Conference is scheduled at HPS Ramanthapur- a 50 year old sibling school

This conference strengthened pride and allegiance among educators, deepening their connection with the school and upholding its esteemed reputation. It harmoniously balanced honoring the institution’s history, addressing current initiatives, and envisioning a bright educational future. It served as a meaningful tribute to educators, perfectly aligning with the spirit of Teacher’s Day two days later.
