ICFAI Business School (IBS), Hyderabad is a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a deemed university as per the UGC Act 1956. Founded in 1985, IBS Hyderabad has been re-accredited by SAQS (South Asian Quality Standards), and rated A** by CRISIL. IBS Hyderabad offers MBA, PhD and BBA programs. The institute has MoUs with 15 institutions in USA, UK, Australia, and Malaysia, which enable its Ph.D students to engage in a 9 month visitor-scholar program abroad. It aims to develop ethically-grounded, professional managers who can add value to the organizations and communities to which they belong. The institute was ranked No.41 among top business schools in India by the EducationWorld C-fore Survey 2013.

Campus

IBS, Hyderabad is sited on a 91-acre eco-friendly campus. The auditorium has step-sitting arrangements with a seating capacity of 300 people. The Open Air Quadrilateral has a stage and seating arrangements for different activities. All classrooms are networked and fitted with audio-visual tools to enhance the teaching-learning experience. The campus is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art technology of computer networks. The complete campus area is Wi-Fi enabled and the auditorium and classrooms are connected with the local high speed LAN and Wi-Fi to help faculty in teaching and accessing databases. Video conferencing facilities are available. The central library has a collection of 75,582 documents. The library has been equipped with the latest software packages, CDs, videos, Indian and international journals, magazines and research reports relating to management, science & technology, law and allied subjects. IFHE subscribes to several academic online databases like EBSCO HOST, Econlit, Emerald Management Xtra, ProQuest, JSTOR, Science Director (Elsevier) and Cabels directory. It also subscribes to industry databases like the World Development Indicators, CMIE databases (including Prowess, Alpha, CapEx, Business Beacon and Industry Analysis Survey), Capitaline and business and research-oriented databases like Reuters, Business Insights and Marketline. The library subscribes to 46 international journals and 62 national journals. Access is also enabled to 5000+ journals through the databases. The institute also subscribes to 75 Indian business magazines and 10 international business magazines. The campus is equipped with facilities such as dining halls, indoor sports facility for badminton, table tennis, and squash, courts for tennis and basketball, fields for football and cricket, swimming pool, gym and cultural clubs. The clubs are managed by the student’s services department and faculty. The B-school has its own transport facility, and a clinic round the clock with 2 beds, 4 doctors and 2 ambulances.

General Information

Admission

For BBA The selection for the program is made through merit. Due weightage will be given to academic distinctions, and achievements in sports and co-curricular activities. For MBA Graduation (any discipline) with 50 percent and above. Students in their final year bachelor's degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations/viva/assignments before May 31. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of regular education (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis). Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or in a 2-year programme are not eligible. Admissions are based on IBSAT scores and interview. GMAT scores and CAT scores are also accepted in place of IBSAT. Candidates with GMAT score of 550 and above and CAT percentile of 75 and above are exempted from IBSAT. IBSAT is an aptitude test based on Computer Based Test (CBT) format. For PhD Post graduation in Management with 60 percent and above or graduation with 50 percent and above and a professional qualification like CFA/CA/CWA/CS. Admissions are based on IBSAT/GMAT/CAT and past academic record of Class X, Class XII and graduation.

Achievement

IBS-Hyderabad is among the first three B-Schools in South Asia to be SAQS accredited by AMDISA. IFHE has also been accredited by the premier national UGC sponsored accreditation agency NAAC. IBS Hyderabad was among the first B-Schools to be graded by CRISIL with a grade of A** at the national and state levels. IBS Hyderabad has been rated by ICRA at national level with rating - EB2IN and at state level with rating - EB2+AP. It was ranked No.41 among top business schools in India by the EducationWorld C-fore Survey 2013.

Accommodation

The institute offers single bed accommodation for 1179 boys and 953 girls; double bed occupancy for 206 boys and studio apartment for 24 boys and 68 girls. The hostel is managed by a team of fulltime wardens, estate manager and other staff.
