Founded in 1956, Indian Law Institute (ILI), New Delhi is a deemed university and socio-legal research institute. The Institute is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. ILI aims to cultivate the science of law, to promote advanced studies and research in law and its administration and to promote the clarification, simplification and systematisation of law.
The institute hosts state-of-the-art infrastructure with modern facilities. The institute library is one of the best libraries in the country featuring more than 70000 books, 150 current legal journals, 200 periodicals, 25 CD-ROM titles and a large collection of CD-ROMs.
