Overview

Institute of Aeronautical Engineering, Hyderabad (IARE) is an autonomous engineering college in Hyderabad offering undergraduate and post graduate courses in engineering and technology. It is located near Air Force Station, Dundigal, Hyderabad, India.

IARE, Hyderabad was established in 2000 and is run by Maruthi Educational Society founded by a devoted group of eminent professional and industrialists having a long and outstanding experience in educational system with a mission ‘Education for Liberation’. It is the first institute to start B.Tech. program in Aeronautical Engineering in the state of Telangana and has gradually transformed itself into an integrated multi-disciplinary technological institute. It is the most preferred institute with 100% admissions in the state of Telangana. IARE has good faculty standards and is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad and approved by AICTE. IARE was ranked 170 in Engineering category by NIRF in 2020.

The college accommodated 4952 students and 272 faculty members, out of which, 82 are Ph.D’s (33%) ensuring healthy faculty student ratio.

Campus

IARE, Hyderabad is spread over 26.72 acres with built up area of 3,37,500 sft. housing 65+ smart class rooms, two ICT studio rooms, four flipped classrooms, four conference halls, auditorium, eight research laboratories, 103 academic laboratories, science and technology startup park, technology innovation and incubation center, open air amphitheater, makerspace, community facilitation center, skill development center and library.

The central library houses a rich collection of books for all subjects with recent publications. There are about 76,473 books, 20,665 individual titles, nearly 714 national and international journals, 2715 back volumes, and e-journals from Elsevier (Science Direct), Springer, ASME, ASCE and IEEE (ASPP). Apart from this, the students have an exclusive access to DELNET for resource sharing.

The institute has state of art infrastructural facilities to support teaching-learning, research and administrative services. Wi-Fi and CCTV facilities are available throughout the campus, and the institute operates 32 buses for the benefit of students and staff.

IARE provides accommodation amenities for the students to provide them a comfortable lifestyle within a vicinity of one km of the campus. The institute provides separate hostels for boys and girls, made to grow as places to support learning not only academics but also life skills in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual environment.

Students are encouraged to participate actively in sports and other extracurricular activities alongside academics. The institute maintains a separate unoccupied open area of four acres for the play fields in any time fit condition. Apart from this, the institute also has several sports rooms for various extra curricular activities and indoor as well as outdoor sports such as table tennis, chess, cricket, football, volleyball, basketball and badminton.

IARE has consistently improved its placement record with more than 75% students being placed in various reputed organizations. The placement and training (PAT) center plays a pivotal role in building the career of aspiring engineers enabling them to hone their skills in order to reach their desired goals. IARE’s industry-institute interactions have been instrumental in getting some of the renowned MNCs to the institute and conduct on campus recruitment drives.

Placement Highlights- 2020-21: Out of a total of 975, 692 students were placed. 39 companies were a part of the 2020-21 placement drive, prominent corporations among them being Larsen & Toubro, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest CTC was recorded at INR 14 LPA, offered by Trell.

Admission

Undergraduate Admission (B.Tech.)

Selection Criteria: TS EAMCET scores

Eligibility: 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board

Admission Procedure:

Candidates must register for admission by filling the online application form along with the submission of documents and payment of application fees.
Candidates have to apply and appear for the TS EAMCET (Telangana State Engineering and Medical Common Entrance Test).
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their TS EAMCET scores. Candidates meeting the cutoffs will have to participate in the TS EAMCET counselling process, where they may confirm their admission by verifying documents and paying the fees.

Postgraduate Admission (M.Tech.)

Selection Criteria: TS PGCET/GATE score/rank.

Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech. in relevant discipline/specialisation from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates must register for admission by filling the online application form along with the submission of documents and payment of application fees.
Candidates have to apply and appear for the TS PGCET (Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test) and/or the GATE exam.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their TS EAMCET or GATE scores and have to participate in the counselling process, where they may confirm their admission by verifying documents and paying the fees.

Postgraduate Admission (M.B.A.)

Selection Criteria: TS ICET scores

Eligibility: undergraduate degree in relevant discipline/specialisation from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50%.

Admission Procedure:

Candidates must register for admission by filling the online application form along with the submission of documents and payment of application fees.
Candidates have to apply and appear for the TS ICET (Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test).
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their TS ICET scores and have to participate in the counselling process, where they may confirm their admission by verifying documents and paying the fees.
