Founded in 1997, Instituto Hispania was created with a mission to promote Spanish language and culture in India and the Asian region. The director of InstitutoHispania,Ms. Laura Benito, is a postgraduate in Psychology of Education from Complutense University of Madrid, Spain, andM.Phil by Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Instituto Hispania has a strength of 52 teachers; all dedicated to the promotion of Spanish language and culture in India.The institute has published its own study materials adapted to the linguistic needs of Indian people.

Instituto Hispania is affiliated to FIDESCU (Ministry of Education, Spain), and offers D.I.E (Diploma Internacional de Español) examinations. The accreditation by FIDESCU implies the institute is eligible to conduct international certifications for language enthusiasts who wish to test their knowledge in Spanish at the international level. Both oral and written exams are conducted.
The institute offers a number of interactive facilities such as libraries, screening of popular Spanish movies and an e-learning course to help students grasp a better understanding of the language.
Programme:
The curriculum at the institute is divided into seven levels. After completing all seven levels, a student’s language proficiency will be equivalent to that of a person who has done their bachelors’ in Spanish language.
