Overview

International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi was founded in 1981 in collaboration with IMI Geneva (now IMD, Lausanne). Approvedby AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India and NBA, it is one of only five B-schools in India to be accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), the highest standard of achievement in postgraduate business education. Over the years, IMI has gained an enviable reputation as a world class institution of management with international collaboration with organizations like World Bank, UNDP, ILO, UNCTAD, Asian Productivity Organization etc. To provide a global perspective to the students, the institute’s flagship two year Post Graduate Programme in Management has a student exchange programme with various European Schools such as ESC Rennes, France, MIP School of Management France, Graz University Austria, IESEG School of Management and IDRAC Lyon, among others. IMI follows international standard curricula in its programs, which has been enriched by its academic collaborations with several international universities. It has been consistently ranked amongst the top ten business schools in India by leading education surveys.

Campus

The Wi-Fi enabled IMI campus hosts spacious classrooms, air-conditioned computer labs, well stocked library with about 19,500 volumes covering not only aspects of management and business, but also economics, accounting, finance, behavioral science and information technology. The institute also provides modern residential accommodation with spacious rooms, mess facility and gymnasium. IMI has two more campus in Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.

General Information

Admission

Eligibility for PGDM: The candidate should possess Bachelor Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 50 percent percent aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Eligibility for Executive PGDM: The candidate should possess a Bachelor Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 60 percent aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, recognized by Association of Indian Universities for admission to post-graduate programs. Eligibility for FPM: The candidates for FPM should possess outstanding academic background, followed by professional experience, and intellectual curiosity as well as diligence required to pursue the work of scholarship. A Master ‘s degree or its equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks. OR A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (4 years) with a minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent grade point average. OR Any professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA and CS with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks. Eligiblity for PGDHRM: The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 55 percent aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities for admission to postgraduate programs. Eligibility for PGDM for Working Executives: The candidates must possess Bachelors degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline, recognized by the Association of Indian Universities for admission to post-graduate programs. The bachelors’ degree or equivalent qualification obtained by the candidate must entail a minimum of three years education, after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of, post qualification full time work experience, at executive level/similar level as on March 31, 2013. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Mathematics.
