ITLH Students collaborate with ConnectFor to create high-quality social impact through skill-based volunteerism

June 12, 2023

Information Technology Learning Hub (ITLH) is delighted to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership between its students and ConnectFor, which is a unique platform aimed at connecting NGOs with volunteers thereby creating social impact, saving the NGO resources, and giving a chance for volunteers to give back and transform themselves. ConnectFor is co-founded by Shloka Ambani and Maniti Shah, and has helped hundreds of nonprofits across the country with their social impact needs.

ITLH students have undertaken the task of enhancing the digital needs of various NGOs, starting with a focus on making their websites more user-centric. Through website redesign and redevelopment, our students are dedicated to creating a more user-friendly and easily navigable platform for NGOs thereby improving the experience of beneficiaries, potential donors, and other key stakeholders.

ConnectFor, known for providing matchmaking solutions to maximize social value through volunteering and corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a brainchild of Shloka Ambani and Maniti Shah whose leadership is making a profound impact on the nation’s future by enabling more citizens to give back to social and civic causes. They have engaged more than 50,000 volunteers till date that has resulted in an impact worth more than 10 crore INR for the NGO sector.

Alex George, Co-founder of ITLH, expressed his thoughts on this collaboration, said, “At ITLH, we firmly believe in the power of practical learning, ensuring that our students gain exposure by solving real-life industry as well as societal problems. We are extremely proud of the fact that our students are not only resolving industry-relevant challenges but also creating real-time impact through their involvement in these social initiatives. We extend our gratitude to the ConnectFor team for this opportunity and we look forward to many more such partnerships in the future.”

ITLH takes immense pride in the participation of its students in this noble initiative. As an institution, we are committed to high quality education experience for our students while creating a positive impact on society. This will be a win-win for all – the NGOs, students, the ConnectFor team, the society, and us – and we are excited about the outcomes from this partnership for all.

The following testimonials from our students demonstrate their firsthand experiences and engagement with NGOs.

Charvi Jain, associated with Aashray Foundation, shared her appreciation, said, “Hello, I would like to appreciate ConnectFor for giving an interactive orientation of their work and by showcasing their portal. We’ve had a great experience at every stage – from being made to form small groups to being engaged with a dedicated manager at our host NGO. I would also like to express my gratitude towards the Information Technology Learning Hub (ITLH) team for providing me with such a great opportunity to work with ConnectFor on a social cause of this kind.”

Aman Upadhyay, affiliated with the Elder Care Trust, expressed his gratitude, said, “I am grateful to ITLH for granting me an opportunity to contribute to the efforts of an NGO, while enhancing my skill set. Over the past month, I have dedicated my time as a volunteer at an Old Age Home NGO for a cumulative total of more than 50 hours, resulting in savings ranging from 30,000 to 50,000 rupees. I would like to thank all the ITLH team members for their support and encouragement throughout this experience.”

ITLH remains committed to nurturing future leaders who actively contribute to society, and this collaboration exemplifies our dedication to fostering the practical application of knowledge for meaningful impact.
