Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies ( JBIMS ) was established by the University of Bombay in 1965 and supported by the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University with the objective of pioneering and furthering postgraduate management education in India. The institute is also ranked among the top 25 business schools in the Asia Pacific.
JBIMS enjoys a locational advantage of being in the heart ofMumbai, the commercial capital of India. Being inSouth Mumbai, where many the financial companies' headquarters are located, it attracts senior management from the corporate world as guest faculty. The campus has undergone a major revamp. With a collection of close to 40,000 books in addition to thousands of journals and theses, the institute library is reckoned as one of the best in town. It boasts of a wide variety of research material including the latest writings of management gurus, popular management texts, classical books on management and much more. With roughly four books added each day, the collection is only getting bigger.

Admission to this course is done through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) every year. The process starts in January and is basically a three tier selection process of Common Entrance Test (MH-CET) followed by the group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) Eligibility criteria : Passed with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognised by the Association of Indian Universities. Appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Such candidates can be considered for provisional admission subject to passing the degree exam with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Fees: The institute charges Rs. 1,00,000 (per annum) as approved by the Shikshan Shulka Samiti.
