In a significant step towards nurturing young minds, JBCN International School has partnered with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to support its “Chala Vachu Ya! Summer Vacation Library” initiative. The programme aims to enhance reading corners in municipal schools across Mumbai, encouraging creativity, imagination, and critical thinking from an early age.
Demonstrating its commitment to the cause, the JBCN community donated 700 preloved fiction, non-fiction, and activity-based books, selected to spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
A BMC official expressed gratitude for the collaboration, stating, “Strengthening the reading culture among students is a key focus for BMC. We are grateful to have partners like JBCN who share this vision and are helping us bring meaningful change.”
Mr Kunal Dalal, managing director of JBCN education, added, “Reading empowers minds and opens new worlds. We are proud to extend our learning ethos and inspire future Changemakers beyond our school walls.”
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to inclusivity and literacy, reinforcing the power of collaboration in shaping a more empowered and literate future for Mumbai’s children.
