Overview

Founded in January 1987, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Neriamangalam,Ernakulam, Kerala is a coeducational residential school fully financed and managed by the Government of India through the autonomous organisation, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi. JNV is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Neriamangalam, strives to mould the personality of the children primarily from rural background of Ernakulam district of Kerala by imparting value-based education and equipping them with academic and life skills to meet the challenges of the ever-changing, sophisticated, competitive and technology-driven world of today.

Affiliated with CBSE, New Delhi, JNV offers schooling from class VI to class XII.

All subjects, with the exception of the Malayalam and Hindi, are taught in English in all standards.

At Plus Two level JNV have 2 streams: Science and Commerce. Under Science stream English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are compulsory and Bilogy and Computer Science are Optional Subjects.

Admission

Admission in Class VI:

Admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Neriamangalam is based on the national level selection test called JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAYA SELECTION TEST (JNVST) conducted by the CBSE on the second Sunday of February annually. A maximum of 80 students are admitted to class VI every year.
