Founded in 1965, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) No.1, Hebbal, Bengaluru is a co-educational English medium day school affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The school aims to cater to the educational needs of children of transferable central government employees including defence and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education.
The 15 acre school campus hosts spacious and well ventilatedclassrooms, a well- stocked library with 20,000 books on various subjects, 30 magazines and periodicals of educational and literary nature and three well-equipped computer laboratories with a total of 68 computers.
Sports facilities include a football field, 3 volley ball courts, basket ball court, children’s play parks, table tennis boards and a throw arena.
Affiliated with the CBSE, New Delhi, KV No.1, Hebbal offers schooling from primary level to class XII.
Extra-curricular activities:
The school promotes a host of games and sports such as basketball, cricket, football, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, volleyball, table tennis and long jump. It also promotes educational trips, scouting, think quest, youth parliament and essay and painting competition.
