Kendriya Vidyalaya at Coimbatore is a co-educational day school promoted in 1963 by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan which is an autonomous body formed under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education and offers classes from pre-primary through senior secondary. It is a technology-enabled school, with facilities for digital learning, and encourages excellence in sports.
Located in the heart of the city on a 10.5 acre campus, the school hosts spacious classrooms, large playgrounds and modern amenities to impart quality education. The school has well planned science labs and computer labs, well-stocked library, a multimedia room, and an innovative math lab to simplify abstract mathematical concepts.
