Kendriya Vidyalaya, at Gole Market in New Delhi, is a co-educational day school founded in January 1970 by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body formed under the aegis of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The school functions with the objective of providing educational facilities to the children of defense personnel and employees of autonomous bodies who are liable to be transferred from one state to another as well as local residents.
It is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education and offers education from class I through class XII.
The school campus offers spacious and well ventilated classrooms, state-of-the-art science and computer laboratories, and a well-stocked library featuring a huge collection of books on various subjects. The school offers world class sports facilities including a gym, a skating rink, lawn tennis, basketball, kho-kho, football, athletics and volleyball.
The school follows the CBSE syllabus and offers classes from class I to XII. Evaluation is done by taking into consideration class work, projects, tests and exams, following the policy of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), to reduce exam stress.
Extracurricular:
Regular inter-house competitions are held in dance, music, recitation, calligraphy, drawing, painting, debates and declamation.
