Overview

Klay Preschool, Electronic City, Bengaluru is one of the franchisees of a high-end preparatory school chain, catering to preschoolers and providing day care and after school services. KLAY stands for – Kids, Learning And You.

The teaching and learning philosophy of Klay is based on Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences, and experiential learning where the child learns through experiences in and around one’s learning space.

Campus

The indoor campus of the school hosts spacious well ventilated classrooms. Classrooms are full of child friendly toys, blocks and other play materials. The outdoor play area comprises of swings, slides, sand pit, ball pool and see saw.

Academics

The preschool offers the following programme:

Infant (6 months – 1 year): In this programme adult child ratio is 1:3 and a full time nurse is appointed to take care of the infants. It is designed to provide a safe, secure, healthy and welcoming environment for the baby.

Toddlers (12 – 20 months): This curriculum promotes growth in cognitive, literary, logical, and social skills and help the toddler grow into an independent individual. Teacher child ratio is maintained at 1:3.

Pre K (2.5 – 3.5 years): This programme focuses on building on the language ability, numeric ability and scientific thought of the child. Teacher child ratio is 1:8.

K1 (3.5 – 4.5 years): This curriculum revolves around five pillars of development—being literate, being numerate, being expressive, being healthy and being knowledgeable. Teacher child ratio is 1:10.

K2 (4.5 – 5.5 years): K2 programme helps develop the child’s literature and languages skills; logical-mathematical skills; creative and expressive skills; and knowledge and understanding of the world. Teacher child ratio 1:12.

The school also provides full day care and after school care programme. Co-curricular activities included art, music, dance, language, abacus and martial arts.

Admissions are open throughout the year. Parents can obtain admission form from the school office. A formal admission offer is made after interview and admission formalities are completed.
