The LAD College for women is one of the first women’s colleges in the country. Founded in 1935 as College of Arts for women by Badridas Daga and later supported by B.L. Purohit, this institute for women’s education was also endorsed and aided by the Dorabji Tata trust, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Governor of central provinces, Sir Hyde Gowan. Today this institute has 2 campuses and offers junior and senior college degrees. Bachelor of Cosmetic Technology is a 4 year course which equips students to work in any department of cosmetic industry or start her own unit. Yardley of London offers Yardley’s Best Cosmetologist Award to the student showing outstanding performance in the final year of Cosmetic Technology and Yardley’s Certificate of Excellence to students showing outstanding performance in I, II & III year of Cosmetic Technology.
