Overview

Maa Anand Mayee Memorial School, Dehradun is a coeducational day cum residential school affiliated with the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. Founded in 1985 by Ram Panjwani in the memory of the Maa Anand Mayee, the school offers classes from playgroup through class XII.

Campus

The campus facilities include a well-stocked library, a resource centre, well equipped science labs, music school, sports facilities for outdoor and indoor games, an infirmary and a central dining hall. The school campus is equipped with CCTV cameras for added security.

Academics

The school is a K-12 school with English as the medium of instruction. Hindi is given equal importance in the curriculum and efforts are made to ensure each student reaches a high standard in the language. Sanskrit is taught as a third language in the middle school. The school largely uses computer aided learning that helps to make the teaching learning process joyful, interesting and easy to understand through audio-visual aids. Multimedia teaching tools are leveraged extensively in the classroom to explain topics better and improve student learning retention.

Accommodation

The school provides separate residential facilities for boys on campus. All the hostels are well equipped with the required facilities; the hostel mess serves only vegetarian food at the large dining hall. Boarders are taken out for adventure activities such as rock-climbing, rafting, skiing and trekking.
