Maharashtra: Ranjitsinh Disale to receive Abdul Kalam ‘Pride of India’ award

Ranjitsinh Disale, who was a recipient of the Global Teacher Award in 2020, has been selected for the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Pride of India Award 2022. Mr. Disale took to his official Twitter handle and tweeted the information. As per the letter that he received, he will be given the prestigious award on July 27, 2022, at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.

Disale tweeted that it is a great pleasure to accept the award from the family of respected Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who has taught our generation to dream big.

Mr Disale recently resigned as a Zilla Parishad teacher from the Solapur district to pursue higher studies in the USA. He won the USD 1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020 for his efforts to promote education among girls as well as triggering a quick-response (QR) coded textbook revolution in India.
