Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) is an institute of national importance jointly sponsored by the Government of India and Government of Madhya Pradesh in 1960 to attract bright students across the country. Formally known as Maulana Azad College of Technology, it was one of India’s eight Regional Engineering Colleges named after the great scholar, educationist and first education minister of the Government of India, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad. The institute presently has about 4000 students enrolled in its undergraduate and postgraduate programs and faculty strength of 200.
