Founded in 1989, Merit Swiss Asian School of Hotel Management works in association with the Swiss Schools, Switzerland, and Alagappa University, India, to provide education in the field of Hotel Management at various levels like Diploma, Degree, Post Graduate Degree and Research. It is located in the beautiful hill station of Ooty, Tamil Nadu and provides students with adequate hands-on training through its own star hotel. The institute has an attached star hotel, Merit Inn Southern Star, located on the scenic slopes of Ooty. The campus hosts the academic blocks, training laboratories, guest rooms, conference halls, faculty chambers, training restaurants, hostel rooms for boys and girls, computer lab, administrative offices and the gym.
