The first centre of Mongrace Montessori House was set up in 1964 in Short Street, Kolkata by the late Monjushree Chatterjee and Grace Wasim Pina with an aim to provide high quality early childhood education. The New Town branch, which was promoted in 2010, is ranked among the top preschools in Kolkata today. The preschool offers a safe, secure and nurturing environment to the tiny tots.
The preschool campus offers air-conditioned class rooms, comfortable interiors, child friendly ambience and elementary computer lessons. Well trained and experienced teachers and auxiliary staff guide the little ones in a nurturing environment.
Mongrace provides the following programmes:
Play House (1 year 10 months to 2 years 5 months)
Montessori Environment (2.5 years onwards)
Children at Mongrace learn through various activities such as art & craft, music and movement, and mental-physical co-ordination (games & yoga). The preschool focuses on improving the children’s communication skills, and helping them become confident and motivated learners. It also hosts summer / winter camps.
