Mushrooms on toast

(4 servings)


 4-6 slices bread
 1 tbsp olive oil
 4 bacon slices
 2 tsp butter
 350 gm mushrooms
 1 crushed garlic clove
 4 tbsp fresh cream

Preparation guide

 Toast the bread lightly, set aside. Add olive oil in a large frying pan, and fry the bacon for 2 minutes on each side until golden and crisp.
 Add butter followed by mushrooms. Cook for 2 minutes, and add the garlic and cream.
 Cook for 3-5 minutes more until the mushrooms are soft and lightly coated in cream.
 Scoop up a generous dollop and pile it on the slices of toast. Top with bacon and serve hot.
