Academics

Extraordinary achievements:

Dr. Archana Mishra, Principal of Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya, has received numerous accolades and recognitions for her contributions to education. On February 21, 2020, she was invited as a speaker and moderator at the 16th World Education Summit organized by the National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) in Hyderabad, where she discussed the topic, “Is the ‘Guru Touch’ Missing in E-learning?”

Dr. Mishra was awarded the Pride of Avantika award by Avantika – A Group of Contemporary Artists and Intellectuals at an international award ceremony in Delhi on April 16, 2022. The school was also recognized as the “Best School Providing Quality Education with Global Standards” for its efforts in maintaining high educational standards during the pandemic.

On June 27, 2022, she was honored with the Leading Educationists Award at an event organized by Gujarat 1st in Ahmedabad. Later that year, on July 8, 2022, she received the “Principal of The Year 2022” award at the 3rd Eduleaders Summit hosted by Universal Mentors Association in association with Brain Wonders in New Delhi.

Dr. Mishra was also awarded the “Innovative Practices in Curriculum Award” at the Excellence in Education Award 2022 ceremony held on October 6, 2022, at the World Hindi Secretariat in Phoenix, Mauritius. This award was presented by the President of the Republic of Mauritius, His Excellency Mr. Prithvirajsing Roopun, and the Vice-Prime Minister, Minister of Education, Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, the Hon. Mrs. Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun.

Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya was ranked Vadodara #4 in the Co-ed Day Schools category at the Education World India School Rankings 2022-23 event held on October 11-12 at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon Hotel & Residences. Principal Dr. Archana Mishra and Academic Incharge Suni Sreenivas accepted this award.

In the 2023-24 academic year, Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya won the EducationWorld Ranking Grand Jury Award for Extraordinary Leadership, ranking India #9, Gujarat #1, and Vadodara #1. Dr. Mishra received this award at an event in New Delhi on October 13-14, 2023.

Additionally, Dr. Mishra received the Education Excellence Conclave Award 2023 for her innovative approach to grooming young learners with life skills. This award ceremony was held in Ahmedabad on July 15, 2023.

Dr. Mishra’s leadership and visionary educational initiatives have been nationally recognized, including being honored with the “Leader in Teaching Practices” award by the Director-NCERT at the Education Conclave (NEP) and School Excellency Awards 2021 organized jointly by EduAdvice and Udaan in New Delhi on March 20.

Vedant Naik’s Research Paper: Vedant Naik (12Sc.) had his research paper on “Dual Nature of Energy and Unique Gradient Composition of Mass and Energy” accepted by the International Journal of Scientific & Engineering Research (IJSER). His paper explores the propagation and features of light, proposing a composition of energy and the formation of charge.

Olympiad Achievements: Students demonstrated their numerical and linguistic skills at the Unified International Mathematics Olympiad (UIMO) and Unified International English Olympiad (UIEO) 2021.

Gujarat STEM Quiz: Akshat Patel (10A) secured 1st place at the Taluka level and 9th at the State level, qualifying for the National Level.

Extra-curricular activities 2022-23

Navrachana Vidyani Music Teacher Romil Jani, Kapil Pandit, and singers Dhun Patel (9C), Nitya Chavda (9B), Devardhi Zaveri (9D), Ishan Pandya, Vidhi Thakkar, Vrunda Thakkar (10C), Manas Afle (12C), Jugal Shah (11A), and Samarth Bhole (11A) emerged winners in the National Level Patriotic Group Singing Competition organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad on August 27. The Vidyani choir secured the 3rd spot, and Romil sir received the ‘Best Composer in Hindi’ award.

Khushi Shah (12 Sc.) won the 1st Prize in the Gujarati Elocution Competition organized by SOCLEEN (Society for Clean Environment) on September 24.

Jamitra Amin (5A) bagged the 2nd position in the ‘Rang Indigo’ category of ‘Rang’, a Bi-Annual Art Competition organized by the Art Journal Foundation. Jamitra received a cash prize of Rs. 2000 for his artwork.

Dancers Jiya Shah (9C) and Priyal Shah (12 Sc.) excelled in their respective categories in the JCI Baroda Metropolitan Dance Competition on August 26, with Jiya clinching the 1st Runner up position in the Bollywood Contemporary segment.

The Vidyani Dance Troupe won the 1st prize at ‘Expressions 2022’, an Interschool Fest organized by Nalanda International School on August 27, for their performance of a Russian folk dance in the ‘Folk Heritage’ category (classes 3-4). They also secured the 2nd spot in ‘Folk Fusion 2022’, an Inter School Folk Dance Competition (Senior Category, std 9-12) organized by Bright Day School (GSEB, Harni) on September 17.

Veeradityasinh Vala (6C) and Jainil Patel (6C) clinched the top spot in the Technology category at the SciPoTech Inter-school Competition 22-23, organized by Podar World School on October 14. Their product ‘Shoes with Speaking Eyes’ showcased unique features to help blind people walk safely.

At the Pinnacle Interschool Competition organized by Cygnus School on October 15, Jheel Kharadee (7B) and Jiya Patel (7B) secured the 2nd spot in ‘Artful Expression’ for their face painting skills. Chahiti Makhijani (8D), Mariya Garbadwala (8C), Sharly Griglani (8B), and Janhavi Atodaria (8A) bagged the 2nd position in ‘Revoke the Drama’. Dhyanam Shah (6A) won the ‘Commendable Prize’ in the ‘Melt a Minute’ event.

Alumni Dhairya Shah, Tirth Chauhan, Devashish Amin, and Daksh Patel were recognized in the Top 75 ATL students of the country and felicitated by Atal Innovation Mission for their performance in ATL’s flagship challenges. Dhairya Shah received the award from Shree Rajeev Chandrashekhar (Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship) and Dr. Chintan Vaishnav (Mission Director of Atal Innovation Mission).

Jayvardhan Israni (7B) won the Runners Up trophy (Senior Category) at the National Robotics Championship held at Billabong High International School, Vadodara on November 20. Jayvardhan created a bluetooth car model operated by cellphone, earning a Certificate, Medal, Trophy, and ₹2000.

Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya participated in NIMUN XII at Navrachana International School over September 2-3. Prisha Desai (10C) won ‘Best Position Paper’ in the International Press Corps Committee, and Yash Lohana (10D) won ‘Best Delegate’. Shivala Patel (10C) and Jaanya Shah (12 Gen.) were recognized by their Chairpersons for their impressive performances.

Vivek Xavier (12 Gen.) won ‘Best Speaker’ at the Inter-School Debate Competition ‘Debating Matters-Your voice needs to be heard’, organized by Anand Vidya Vihar over November 21-25. Vivek spoke for the motion on ‘Versions of history taught by states through the education system should not be designed to promote national pride’.

Mahek Shah (5B) clinched the top spot in ‘Bharat Ek Khoj’, an Inter School Competition organized by New Era Senior Secondary School on December 3. Mahek’s speech on Matangini Hazra earned high appreciation from judges and the audience.

Beatboxer Rishabh Bhardwaj (9A) won the National Level Indian Beatbox Championship in Mumbai on December 18, after crossing many levels and intense competition.

Students excelled at ‘Bhoomi Fest 2023’, organized by Prakruti Young Geographer’s Club, Department of Geography, MSU, over January 3-4. Pratham Chhabria, Nitya Chavda, Vatsalya Soni, and Neel Jhaveri (9B) won the Quiz Competition, Vinay Vandara and Jiya Shah (9C) secured 1st prize in Pictorial Identification, and Dhriti Gandhi and Heer Mahant (9B) won the ‘Best Out of Waste’ event.

2023-24

The Navrachana Vidyani team excelled at Navrachana Higher Secondary School Sama’s ‘Navवचनम्’ G20 event over May 1-2. Aarav Patel (12Gen.) and Khushi Desai (12Sc.) won ‘Best Speaker’ and ‘Best Research Associate’ for debating ‘Accelerated, inclusive, and resilient growth’ for USA. Saurabh Surana (9C) and Kaveesh Shah (9B) won the same titles for discussing ‘Accelerating progress on Sustainable Development Goals’ for the UK.

Akshat Patel (10A) secured 1st position at Taluka level and 9th at the State level in the ‘Gujarat STEM Quiz’, organized by the Gujarat Council on Science and Technology. Akshat has qualified for the National Level.

Navrachana Vidyani was named ‘Overall Digital Champion of the Year 2023-24’ in ‘TechFest 1.0’ organized by St. Kabir Indian International School on October 28. Janhavi Atodaria (9A) and Jainam Mehta (9A) won 1st in RoboMania (Sr Category), Jayvardhan Israni (8B) and Naitik Nagori (7B) secured 3rd in RoboMania (Jr Category), and Mantavya Damor (9A) and Noor Mohammad Campwala (11A) won 2nd in Code Bravo.

In ‘The Pinnacle’ Inter-School Competition organized by Cygnus World School on October 28, Reeva Patel (1D) secured 3rd in ‘Kavyanjali’ (Hindi Poem Recitation), and Archit Brahmbhatt (3A) and Anshul Jethava (4C) secured 2nd in ‘Mythological Colloquies’.

Shreesha Gandhi (6B) won 1st prize in ‘Rock Fiesta’-Solo Singing event at AVV AURA Inter-School Competition organized by Anand Vidya Vihar on October 5.

Navrachana Vidyani educators won the 1st prize in ‘CHAL CHITRA’ at ‘Umang: Honoring Teachers’, an Interschool Teachers’ Competition organized by D.R Amin Memorial School on September 29. Music Teacher Hiral Joshi secured 2nd in ‘SINGING SOULS’ (Retro – Solo singing).

Aarya Adhyapak (5A) won 2nd place in ‘Katha’ – The Story Telling Competition at Nalanda School’s Inter-School Fest ‘Expressions 2023’ on August 26.

Vidhi Dave (9D) and Princy Patel (8D) won the Runner’s Up Trophy in the Inter-School Science Project Competition on ‘Urban and Rural Forests – A Step towards Green Revolution’, organized by ‘Rotary Vadodara ONE’ in association with Nagesh Charitable Trust, Indian Plastic Institute, Community Science Centre, and SOCLEEN.

Niva Panchal, Shivala Patel, Anushree Patel, Devanshi Solanki, Nirva Malik, Dhun Patel, Heer Nayak, and Samarth Bhole, accompanied by Activity Coordinator Autindriya Acharya and Music Teacher Romil Jani, participated in ‘Celesta’, the 14th International Cultural Competition 2023 organized by City Montessori School, Lucknow over August 16-19. Team Vidyani clinched the Overall Championship Trophy.

Navrachana Vidyani participated in ‘TRIUMPH’, a multievent Inter-School Competition organized by Tejas Vidyalaya on August 19. They won 1st in “This is what I Feel’ (IX-X category) and 2nd in ‘Tarang’ (V-VI category) for a street play on ‘Gender Equality’.

Janhavi Atodaria (9A) won 3rd place in the Elocution or Story Telling Competition organized by the SOCLEEN Youth Wing on the topic ‘Solutions to Plastic Pollution’ on July 15.

Netra Sane (IXB) won the ‘Third Award’ in the National Contest at the All India Multi-lingual Drama, Dance

Sports and Other Outdoor Activities 2022-23

Navrachana Vidyani’s basketball team excelled in tournaments across Surat and Bhavnagar from May 23-27 and May 25-27 respectively. Shivang Nair (10D) secured the U-17 Boys title, while Kaarvi Desai (8C) claimed the runner-up position in the U-14 Girls category. Shivala Patel (10C) and Rajvi Patel (10C) also impressed, securing 3rd place in the Girls U-17 category.

Dhanvi Kale (10A) continued her success in Lawn Tennis, winning a Silver Medal. Meanwhile, various athletes represented Vadodara in different sports.

Vandan Thakar (7A) dominated in chess tournaments, securing top positions in multiple categories.

The Girls U-17 Football Team displayed their prowess by winning multiple tournaments, with Kripa Khanvilkar (11Gen.) earning recognition as the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’.

Tennis players Jevin Kanani (10D) and Dhanvi Kale (10A) showcased their talent, consistently securing top positions in various championships.

Prushti Goswami (8A) set a remarkable record, earning a place in the ‘International Book of Records’ for the ‘Most Number of Punches on a Punching Pad’ in just 30 seconds.

The basketball teams continued their winning streak, with players like Vani Amin (5A) and Dev Patel (6D) earning individual honors.

Various students excelled in different sports, including Cricket, Skating, and Basketball.

Kaarvi Desai (8C) led the Vadodara Basketball Team to victory in the Gujarat State Sub-Junior Basketball Championship, showcasing exceptional leadership skills.

The Vidyani Boys Football Team (U-14) and Girls Football Team (U-14) secured top positions in their respective tournaments.

Several students showcased their skills in Karate, winning medals in national and international championships.

Vidyani alumni Saharsh Shah (Batch 2011) achieved recognition as the Indian Youth Team’s Camp Coach for the Asian Youth Championships 2023.

2023-24

Ved Shah (9D) and other students continued to shine in Karate tournaments, securing top positions in national and international competitions.

Students participated in various sports like Karate, Chess, Basketball, Football, Swimming, and Tennis, representing Vadodara at state and national levels.

Dhanvi Kale (11D) achieved success in Tennis, securing the Runner-Up position in the AITA National Series Girls (U-18 category) tournament.

Students like Dhruv Chandarana (9C) and Aadit Shah (8B) showcased their athletic prowess in events like Athletics and Volleyball.

Arnav Lalwani (8A) and Antra Bhatt (9D) represented Vadodara District in Football and Badminton respectively, displaying remarkable talent.

Saptorshi Chaterji (5B) continued to excel in Karate, winning accolades in both national and international championships.
