NEET 2022 city intimation slip released, admit card expected soon

June 29, 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA) — an autonomous agency authorised by the Government of India to conduct entrance examinations for higher educational institutions — has released an advanced city intimation slip for this year’s medical entrance exam NEET 2022. The medical entrance exam will be held across different centres in 546 cities across India and also in 14 centres abroad. Students are informed about their location through the city intimation slip.

“The candidates may please note that this is not the admit card for NEET (UG) – 2022. This is an advance information for the allotment of the fity where the examination centre will be located, to facilitate the candidates. The admit card of NEET (UG) – 2022 shall be issued later,” states an official NTA notice.

While the exact date of the NEET 2022 exam has not been specified by NTA, the admit card is expected to be released only a day or two ahead of the exam. NEET 2022 is scheduled to be held on July 17. Over the past few days, NEET aspirants have been actively taken to social media urging NTA to postpone the exam by at least 30-40 days to ensure more time for preparations.

The intimation letter is a new feature of security added to both JEE Main and NEET exams. This year, NTA has tightened security for both the national level exams after at least one exam centre was hacked for JEE and question papers of NEET were also allegedly leaked last year.
