NIFT, Kolkata was founded in 1995 on a hired campus on Manjusha Bhavan, Salt Lake with limited facilities but with a strong team empowering the center The inevitable success came in the form of a sprawling five-acre campus at Salt Lake layout in 1999.Today NIFT Kolkata boasts more than 750 students on its rolls and a host of facilities available at the disposal of every NIFT student. With a symbiotic balance amongst the state government and the garment industries, NIFT stands as a pioneer of fashion training and research.
