FORDA, the Federation of Residents Doctors Association has backed off the strike in between after the assurance given by the union health ministry to the resident doctors that the final decision will be taken on the issue within a week. After that, all the resident doctors went back to their work. On postponing the strike, the association said if there no concrete steps were taken they’ll again resume the strike from 17 December.
FORDA wrote a letter to the union ministry of health, regarding the NEET PG counseling case hearing in the fast track court. Right now aspirants are waiting for the decision with some hope. NEET aspirants are overburdened with the situation as they are confused between their jobs and PG admission. The situation is becoming more and more pathetic.
The resident doctors were on strike from 27 November. They refused to examine any patient and also neglected to operate any emergency cases. More than 10,000 doctors of big colleges from Pan India were on strike at hospital premises. Doctors submitted an application in the court for the same, demanding an immediate hearing in favor of the aspirants. The resident doctors showed their anger in the form of protests and marches, which has not yielded any result till now. If there is a delay in hearing again, then they will resume the strike again as before.
Showing his concern toward the situation and appealing to the government, Gaurav Tyagi, Founder, Career Xpert, said, “The situation is worsening day by day and now aspirants’ anxiety level has reached its peak. This is the matter of the judiciary and in this pathetic situation; I can only request the government that the hearing on the issue must be declared soon. A whole year of the aspirants is at stake and the doctors, the corona warriors, who endangered their life in saving others, when it comes to their life, then why is there so much delay?
