Founded in 2010, Open Interactive Play School (OIPS), Gachibowli is an educational venture of People Combine Educational Initiatives Pvt. Ltd, promoters of the Oakridge International School – the first IB World School in Andhra Pradesh. Open Interactive believes in creating global Leaders of tomorrow through its curriculum which aims at preparing children for life beyond school. The faculty is trained to prepare children for a lifelong learning process.
OIPS adheres to the high infrastructure standards which distinguish the Oakridge schools. The infrastructure is designed to provide a blend of three critical aspects of a preschool – aesthetically designed child space, child-friendliness and functionality. Colorful ambience, child appropriate teaching and learning aids, safe and hygienic environment supports child development.
The OIPS provides students a ‘WOW’ kit – a collection of specialized play and learning equipment which are skillfully mapped to the curriculum delivery process.
OIPS caters to the learning needs of children of five age groups – Infants, Toddlers, Nursery, PP 1 and PP 2.
The school follows a Sparkz Model to inculcate ‘Love for learning’ in each child in the most critical childhood years. ‘SPARKZ’ can be visualized as the center where the child is standing, with eight spokes of the wheel being the learning outcomes and the four spokes in the outer ring the facilitators motivating the child to achieve new milestones each day.
The teaching methodology followed at OIPS is experiential learning i.e. learning by doing.
