Following the viral circulation of a video depicting students at a Zilla Parishad school in Talasari, Palghar, engaged in card-playing during a class, an official has confirmed the initiation of a formal inquiry.
The CEO of Palghar ZP has taken the initiative to order this investigation, and a comprehensive report addressing the incident, which occurred in Sutrakar, will be submitted promptly, as conveyed by Vaibhav Saple, BDO of Talasari Panchayat Samiti.
According to another source, the regular teacher was absent on that occasion, and the substitute teacher, hired at a rate of Rs 150 per day, also failed to appear, resulting in a lack of supervision for the students.
It is important to note that this particular school operates with only one teacher.
